OSHA has launched a campaign to prevent Heat Illness in Outdoor Workers.
There are many on the job factors that are a risk to your employees. However, this time of year heat illness can be just as deadly, but it is preventable.
Three words: Water, Rest, and Shade
OSHA recommends a few tips for your outdoor workers:
• Drink water every 15 minutes, even if you are not thirsty
• Rest in the shade to cool down
• Wear a hat and light-colored clothing
And don’t forget, keep an eye on your fellow workers.
